Salman Khan is just a Muslim by name

This is a picture of Salman Khan at the controversial Ganpati pooja. A fatwa was ordered against Salman, a muslim, after he was seen worshipping idols. What I don't get is why the furore? It is not like Salman is a practicing Muslim. If he wanted to be a devoted Muslim then he wouldn't be a Bollywood actor, would he? Salman, Shah Rukh, Saif, Aamir, Tabu etc are all Muslims by 'name' and by being born into the relegion. They really havn't done anything call themselves Muslims.

    I agree about these so called Moslem actors by name & fame only. In fact there should also be fatwas against all of them and in particular to Shah Rukh Khan for keeping both Gita and Quran in his "Mannat" as he is not only confused about himself for fame and fortune but putting his children at risk as well? And also to Amir Khan, I have much more to write but do not have much time.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmm... sorry but never knew Islam stops you from doing what your heart drives you to, never knew it curtails someone's talent, never knew it calls the entertainment business as an insult, never knew dat what cud bring joy n moments to cherish in a cinema theatre as an uncalled act of being a muslim. Sorry to say but Islam demands tolerance of all religions n it definitely talks of loving ur nation n yes.. rejoicing wid ppl who r ur fellow countrymen n making their country proud which is exactly what Salman, SRK, Amir n Tabu have been doing. Good Lord... wake up!

    hello there, first I would like to introduce my self. My name is Sonia Shabbir and I am a Sikh. Now you must have become confused right? Well I will now brief you in on why and how I am a Sikh. Its by choice.My father is a Moslem and, he believes that what ever religion you follow or preach is your business. After all we are not worshiping the Devil. We are just like the Actors worshiping and respecting faiths of our partners. We can keep as many Deities and Holy books of our choice, so then who are you to judge? Why dont you just mind your business, go on living and begin to learn and educate yourself on beliefs beyond Islam. And those that do follow Islam, then do so. just dont be that Idiot to make a judgement on others, since you are not perfect yourself my dear.

    Salman Khan and for that matter most of the film industry people are just Muslims by name and they certainly can't be role models for the community which believes in the principles of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) the last and the greatest messenger to mankind. I feel pity on these fellows that if they continue to persist in false believes they will certainly face the ire of the Almighty Allah.

    Mr simplegal, religion is not something that can b taken for granted. Humans are no angels and it is not necessary that what a person's heart says is right. Today bollywood is engulfed in vulgarity and obsceneity and is promoting the culture of illicit sex and violence and these movie stars just believe that religion is a private matter.
    ISLAM has certain principles which have to b faithfully followed if a person has to remain a Muslim and even all religions of the world are not equal. Say for instance in Buddhism and Jainism there is no concept of god but Allah (God) is glorified in Islam. Than in Christianity there is a bogus doctrine of trinity and so in Hinduism. We have been sent into the world with a purpose and for a muslim the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad is the ideal. The Prophet said that ,"Verily the best person in the sight of Allah is one whose Existence is good for the Humanity"
    Muhammad sallal la alai hu wassallum gave us a system which has solutions for the world's problems.And one day we all will b answerable to the Almighty for our deeds and no ganesha, krishna, or shiva will come to our rescue.

    hello there im a muslim and by the way its not "moslem" just to let you confused people is islam it is a obligation upon all muslim to give dawah which means giving information to other people about what is going on in this world. and briefly viewing we muslim should let other muslims or non-believers know about the real salman khan. so yes it is right for us muslims to judge them but not in a bad way not insulting them but if you think about it thier is proof and for that there cant be any mistake about juding salman khan. if i didnt see proof of this i wouldnt be writing this

    For all the above so called gr8 people......islam is the only religion which has guidelines to be followed....which respects every relation and values it....not only as muslims but also in other religions u r not allowed to have livin relationships or affairs or pre or post marital sex....all these actors whether of any religion r doing these so called animal acts.....so they r all insulting their respective religions.....and as muslims we have a faith and we have the right to let the world know about it......if u r doing idol worshipping u rnt a part of the muslim community...the same way as a hindu or a christain enters the mosque and prays five times a day....stop insulting other religions....get your facts right about a religion before condeming it.....we as muslims have been told to respect all religions and not to say bad stuff about anything....bt cause of some ignorant muslims the whole communuity is questioned.....how much bad u say about my religion...i care a damn as i am not yr judge .....their is Allah above to judge u...n he will definetly do his best.....dont argue abt religion....cause none of u know about yr own religion perfectly.....for muslims go n read the quran before writing anythg n for hindus...go n read your upnashids and veds...cause the ramayana and mahabharat r not yr religious books they r jus stories....so get the knowledge abt yr religion and then may be u will be sorry abt what u say abt any other religion..
